His commitment is based on major priorities. First, to restore security in all neighborhoods for a peaceful and safe city. Next, to have a duty of oversight and an influence on hospital administrative decisions and those of the Agence Régionale de Santé (A.
R. S) which govern the healthcare system in general and the healthcare offer in Hyères in particular. Then, to regulate urbanization, which is so widely criticized, to preserve the soul and balance of Hyères, and, finally, to protect the local economy to preserve life in the city center.
STRONG ACTIONS First of all, in terms of security, the candidate for the 2026 municipal elections makes this observation: 'Hyères deserves better than electoral band-aids. For 10 years on the Conseil municipal, with my colleagues from the Rassemblement National, we have warned about the growing insecurity in our commune, we have denounced the lack of resources allocated to the Police municipale, the inaction in the face of trafficking and incivil behaviors, the opaque management of social housing, and the abandonment of certain neighborhoods. What the mayor seems to be discovering today, just a few months before the municipal elections, we have been denouncing for a long time.
The town hall talks to us about security buses, makeshift police stations, a few additional police officers, bonuses, etc.' He adds: 'The Hyérois expect something else, they want strong and lasting actions. What the Hyérois are waiting for is a real plan to reclaim public space.
What the Hyérois expect is a reinforced police presence 24/7, with more officers, better trained and better equipped, zero tolerance for criminals, unaccompanied minors, or traffickers, and firm and immediate sanctions, deterrent video surveillance and, above all, a balanced distribution of social housing.' For the elected official, everything is linked: security, land planning, social balance. 'It is time to act with clarity, authority, and ambition.
With my team, we will act with coherence and determination, neighborhood by neighborhood, in consultation with residents and business owners, to restore to Hyères the serenity it deserves,' he continues.
DO NOT EXCLUDE HYERES FROM THE BHNS On the issue of urban transport, the candidate takes note of the decision of the préfet du Var to declare the Bus à Haut Niveau de Service (BHNS) project, led by the Métropole Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée, to be in the public interest, and he does not hide his anger. In his eyes: 'This structuring project for our territory is an important step forward in strengthening daily mobility, reducing road congestion, and promoting ecological transition. However, I deeply regret that the Ville d'Hyères is not included in the route's perimeter.
Even though the main line connects La Seyne-sur-Mer to La Pauline-Hyères, the BHNS stops at the gates of our commune, depriving tens of thousands of residents, working people, and students of access to this modern and efficient transport service. Hyères, the second most populous city in the metropolis, is a major employment, tourism, and university hub for the region. Excluding it from the scheme weakens metropolitan coherence and means giving up a balanced service between the west and east of the metropolitan area.'
He therefore asks the Métropole Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée 'to consider extending the route to the city center and the Hyères railway station, to integrate Hyères into the planning of the next phases of the BHNS, and to ensure a smooth connection with the Toulon rail shuttle and the future Service Express Régional Métropolitain (SERM). The Hyérois must not be the forgotten people of the metropolitan mobility strategy. I will remain mobilized to ensure that Hyères obtains the place it deserves in this major structuring project, in the service of ecological transition and territorial equity,' the candidate assures.
In terms of public health, the former hospital doctor at the Hyères hospital knows the hospital center's situation well: 'This summer, I learned, with great concern, of the situation at the Centre Hospitalier announcing, on several occasions, the implementation of an adapted procedure for its emergency services four nights this week. This situation is unacceptable. It illustrates the abandonment of the public hospital by the State and the Agence Régionale de Santé, which are unable to ensure the necessary medical staff.
The residents of the bassin hyérois were forced to call 15 before accessing the emergencies, risking longer treatment times in critical moments. The caregivers are in no way responsible for this chaos because they carry out their mission with admirable dedication despite untenable conditions. It is indeed the lack of resources, positions, and planning that leads to this type of temporary closure.'
The former doctor adds: 'I call upon the director of the ARS PACA because it is urgent to ensure a medical permanence worthy of the name in our hospital, to increase staffing levels, and to stop the destruction of the public health service. The Hyérois have the right to continuous and safe access to emergencies, 24/7'.
