An original artistic and cultural collaboration has been established between Hôpital Renée Sabran, musée du Niel and Lycée Golf Hôtel. Last May, Hôpital Renée Sabran hosted the opening of the exhibition "L'Atelier Musée - de l'écriture à l'illustration", the result of an enriching collaboration between musée du Niel, Hôpital Renée Sabran and Lycée Golf Hôtel. This event marked the beginning of an ambitious artistic project, aiming to create links between patients, supervising staff and students.

COLLECTIVE CREATION Under the guidance of Catherine Parayre, a Canadian university professor, 5 writing workshops were organized in the offices of musée du Niel. Each session began with the presentation of a work from the exhibition at musée du Niel, entitled "Dubuffet et les magiciens - Expressions singulières 1945-2000". Participants were able to draw inspiration from these works to produce five original texts, the fruit of a collective creation.

These texts were passed on to a group of students from the Graphic Arts department of Lycée Golf Hôtel, supervised by their teachers, Stéphanie Lounas, Florence Combe-Roux and Clémentine Armand. The students took charge of illustrating these writings, creating a small booklet in the form of fanzines, a format favored by contemporary artists.

This project created a three-way partnership. The hospital's patients, under the guidance of Dr Christine Dupont, discovered the current exhibitions and took part in writing workshops. The teachers of Lycée Golf Hôtel developed educational projects adapted to their students' curricula.

"We were given texts, we read them and we used various materials like paint, gouache and watercolor. This experience taught us new things about artworks that express our feelings," confided a student in a BMA (Brevet des Métiers d'Arts) class. The aim of this initiative is to facilitate access to culture, develop the sharing of collective experiences and assert the place of culture in hospital settings.

"Art brought us together. This project involved many people, from hospital staff to high school teachers and students. It is a wonderful initiative that encouraged exchanges. The guiding thread was to create links between people who, ordinarily, do not meet," emphasized Catherine Parayre.

Florence Denis, director of musée du Niel, added: "These moments of breathing space, freedom and happiness correspond to the museum's mission: to facilitate access to culture for all and to encourage the idea that art can transform our vision of the world."

The students of Lycée Golf Hôtel proudly concluded: "It is with great honor that we presented this project carried out in partnership with the hospital and the museum. This allowed us to stimulate our creativity."

Finally, this artistic project illustrated the synergy between art, health and education, testifying to the power of collaboration to enrich human.
