A 70th anniversary under the sign of secularism

However, Jean-Pierre Véran, president of the Association des Maires du Var, acknowledged the difficulties: "We work for the interest of our municipalities and, fortunately, in this country we have mayors, municipalities, and grassroots elected officials because we are the ones who keep the machine running, despite increasingly restrictive difficulties."

"We are in troubled times. In my opinion, France should take inspiration from Var because in the department the 153 municipalities are well united. I am happy that there is real solidarity among mayors. This makes it possible to achieve many things," stressed Jean-Pierre Véran.

For his part, Thierry Albertini, mayor of La Valette du Var, did not hide his satisfaction: "This year, there were more than 100 exhibitors and we welcomed more than 1,500 participants. 2025 was a trade show under the sign of secularism, which responded to a desire of the AMF. We talked about solidarity, about living together in relation to a somewhat chaotic current environment.
