"Songs of Freedom" by New Gospel Joyfully
The "Songs of Freedom" concert is a gospel retrospective.
By daring to mix styles while respecting traditional texts, New Gospel Joyfully revisits major Gospel and Negro Spiritual standards in modern versions with soul and R'n'B influences. It also offers adaptations of Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye, whose melodies are known to all. From Work Songs to traditional songs for lovers of negro spirituals and major standards (When The Saints, Oh Happy Day, Go Down Moses), as well as modern "urban" gospel to introduce the public to the sounds of modern and contemporary gospel, all the way to a Sister Act special to finish on a highly festive note! Not forgetting traditional Christmas carols in this festive holiday season!
