At Christmas, Promocash highlights local producers
On December 5 and 12, Promocash invited its customers to special events dedicated to the festive season. The next event is scheduled for December 19.
Thus, on the initiative of Muriel and Christophe Gruel, managers of the Var brand which ranks first in France in terms of turnover, a series of events punctuates the last three weeks before Christmas. "The goal is to introduce the range of our end-of-year products. We invite suppliers to come and present them (Esturgeonnière (caviar), Tendriade (veal), Champiland (mushrooms), Serre du Plan (strawberries and mushrooms), Crêpes du monde, Espig, Nutella, Dugas, Ruinart, Gagnebert, Jasson (wines), Malongo and Lebrun tableware)," explains Christophe Gruel.
The manager adds: "Our customers are discovering seafood (oysters, salmon for smoking, lobster, spiny lobster, etc.), foie gras, and breed-specific meats (Aubrac, Charolaise, etc.). We are presenting our range of wines and Champagne, and we are giving pride of place to producers from Côtes de Provence (Favanquet, Jasson and Figuière)."
For fruit and vegetables, our customers find the traditional truffles from the domaine d'Argens (Centre-Var) and micro-greens from La Seyne-sur-Mer."
Indeed, Promocash highlights local products, as is the case with Confiserie Azuréenne and its candied chestnuts.
In terms of sales, the brand is seeing stronger growth, linked to the success of Christmas markets and the quality of exhibitors (Toulon, La Garde and Hyères). Finally, Christophe Gruel is delighted with the success of the bakers and pastry chefs, who are experiencing growth thanks to new consumption trends driven by snacking: "We were partners of the profession's Christmas Tree event on November 30 in Le Cannet-des-Maures."
