Very committed apprentice citizens
The elections for the Conseil Municipal des Enfants (CME) were held in the municipality's three schools and at the Bell Estello centre.

A wonderful lesson in democracy for these young Pradétans, who have elected their new representatives. The official inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Hervé Stassinos, the mayor, and Stéphanie Ascione, municipal councillor delegate to the Conseil des Enfants. On this occasion, the newly elected representatives received the tricolour sash, a symbol of their civic commitment, a moment filled with pride and emotion.
The CME has three main objectives. First, to introduce the role and functioning of a local democratic institution; second, to give young people a voice; and finally, to involve them in public life and raise their awareness of civic responsibility and commitment.
Taking on an elected mandate at their age is a unique experience. By participating in the life of the municipality, these councillors discover the meaning of collective, civic, and solidarity-based action. Hervé Stassinos praised their commitment: "The Conseil Municipal des Enfants is a wonderful school of democracy.
These young elected representatives learn very early on the values of respect, listening, and responsibility that keep our Republic alive. They are proof that in Le Pradet, citizenship is built from childhood."
The Conseil des Jeunes is inspired by the functioning of the Conseil municipal. By sitting in their seats during certain sessions, the children learn to work as a team, to listen, to debate, and to make decisions together. Throughout their mandate, they participate in the highlights of the municipality and lead reflections on concrete everyday topics: waste sorting, environmental protection, the inclusion of people with disabilities, the fight against school violence, and many others.
The members of the CME: Lana COCHARD, Manon RENAUD, Margaux GIRAUD, Louise VERNET, Abel CAVAL, Mila MARY, Logan DIALLO, Lana BLANC.
