"Du Stade vers l'emploi", the shortest path to find a job
Recruiting differently by highlighting soft skills was the goal of the "Du Stade vers l'emploi" initiative on December 4th at the Lycée... gymnasium.
The France Travail d’Hyères agency in partnership with the ligue régionale de badminton organized a recruitment day based on sport: "Du Stade vers l'emploi". This original initiative aimed to connect job seekers and recruiters by using sport as a true revealer of skills. The objective is to allow everyone to discover themselves differently, in a setting free from the codes of the formal interview. Thus, employers and job seekers met by practicing a sports activity during the morning, then participating in a friendly gathering over a snack, and finally taking part in a job dating session. Initiated in 2019 by the Fédération française d’athlétisme, the Agence nationale du sport, and the Comité d’organisation des Jeux Olympiques, the operation has opened up to other disciplines, including rugby, table tennis, and basketball. During the sports session, candidates and recruiters were gathered in teams and supervised by coaches from the ligue régionale de badminton. Thus, candidates could meet companies recruiting in the sectors of personal services, construction, hotels and restaurants, healthcare, or multi-sector temporary work. Finally, the activities were designed to highlight essential qualities in the professional environment: cooperation, listening, commitment, rigor, and a sense of anticipation.
