“In 2026, continuity in change!”
At the start of 2026, Max Bauer, president of the Coordination Rurale of Paca, sends his sincere wishes of health, solidarity, serenity and...
The agricultural unionist adds: “In this festive season, I also have a very special thought for all those who are suffering, both physically and morally. Let us keep hope in our future! In this troubled world, we must resist with a peaceful and serene France, with the values of equality, fraternity, and freedom.”
After more than 20 years of union commitment, as close as possible to the ground, I have decided to partly turn an important page in my journey to open a new one: that of political commitment. This decision is neither a renunciation nor a break with the values that have always driven me. At the Union des Hyérois (UDH), with François Cornileau, I found this rare alchemy, a sincere and ambitious territorial project, a political vision as courageous as it is pragmatic.
“I am committing myself to the municipality of Hyères, fairer, more vibrant, more protective.”
RESPECT FOR DIALOGUE Candidate in the municipal elections in Hyères, he continues: “unionism has taught me listening, respect for dialogue, the strength of the collective, and the need to relentlessly defend the dignity of each and every one. Today, I am convinced that we need to push the boundaries, we must also act at the political level, where public policies and the resources given to public services are built. I am leaving my union responsibilities at the Coordination Rurale of Var, but I am not leaving the field, nor the link with the agricultural world: I want to be a faithful link with my convictions and my determination, for a program that aims to be bold and achievable with the cooperation of all, citizens (consumer-actors) and established and future farmers with production in diversification for future generations, supportable, sustainable, with a committed city hall.”
“For this new year, I wish that our energy, whether union, associative, or political, continues to converge towards a common goal: more democracy, more respect for those who work and bring our territories to life. I am counting on you as you have been able to count on me, and I remain, differently but fully, by your side.
With all my gratitude and my warmest wishes,” concludes Max Bauer.
