The new EPPE maneuver area inaugurated

On December 3, Rear Admiral David Desfougères, commanding the Force de l'Aéronautique navale, presided over the inauguration of the new maneuver area.

Located on the base d'aéronautique navale (BAN) d'Hyères, the EPPE is the heir to nearly 80 years of experience in the service of the Aéronautique navale and carrier-based aviation. To offer instruction and training as close as possible to real conditions, the EPPE has commissioned a unique educational infrastructure: a mini flight deck faithfully reproducing the Charles de Gaulle and another vessel platform that can accommodate FREMM-type helicopters. These facilities allow students to train under realistic conditions, with all the markings and hazards existing on board, for optimal training before their assignment. It is named 'Maître principal Bruno Falize'.
