The 'Essai le sport !' scheme launched at Campus RCT

The day, part of the Journée Inclusion et Bien-être held every year by the CDOS du Var, began with an official session attended by the president of the CDOS du Var, Laurent Labeaune, and the director of the CAF du Var, Julien Orlandini. Nearly 50 participants with disabilities discovered and tried out sports and recreational workshops. Supervised by associations, they took part in boccia, orienteering, golf, rugby, archery, yoga, and gentle gymnastics. The afternoon ended with a friendly gathering, bringing together participants, supervisors, and organizers in a warm atmosphere. Created in 2022, the 'Essai le sport !' scheme aims to raise awareness among people with disabilities about the benefits of sport and encourage them to practice physical activity regularly. Throughout the sports season, it offers a dozen events, sometimes organized at the stade Mayol prior to RCT matches, combining sports initiations and awareness-raising actions on themes such as nutrition or hygiene.
