The award ceremony was held at the Terre de Running de La Garde store, a partner of the event, in the presence of Jean-Louis Masson, president of the Département, his two coaches, and Marcel Albert, Chokri Oueslati, and Erick Plavis, members of the "valorisation" commission of the Comité Olympique et Sportif du Var (CDOS).

"The Département is proud to have champions like Weaven," praised Jean-Louis Masson, recalling the importance of the partnership with the CDOS and the great sporting dynamic of the territory. The young 18-year-old member of the Toulon Étudiant Club received his trophy, a diploma, and a voucher offered by the host store. Deeply moved, Weaven confided: "This award warms my heart. It is the fruit of a lot of hard work and sacrifices, shared with my coaches Nadège Mendy and Thibault Sarrazin." His coach Thibault Sarrazin recalled, with humor, that the triple jump had started somewhat by chance before becoming a true vocation: "At a youth competition, each club had to field an athlete in every discipline and with Nadège, we thought that the only one crazy enough to do that was Weaven. In the end, he got caught up in the game and we are very happy to see where he is today, with this champion de France title and a first international selection." Now, the focus is on the Championnats de France U20 2026 and, above all, the Mondiaux U20 in the États-Unis next August. Ambitious, Weaven is already aiming further: "Like any athlete, I dream of the Jeux Olympiques, maybe in 2028 or 2032."
