Maxime Ghinozzi gives a voice to printing centers

"DERNIÈRE TRIBUNE" Originally from Sanary-sur-Mer, this young director transformed his academic journey into a passion for cinema, while maintaining an unwavering link with journalism. STEPPING STONE From middle school, Maxime faced the crucial question of career guidance. Although his instinct initially pushed him toward journalism, it was in high school that he discovered the audiovisual cinema specialty.

This option, which he chose with the hope of enriching his journalistic training, became a stepping stone for his growing passion for the seventh art.

His teachers noticed the connection between his work and journalism, particularly in his documentary approach. His previous film, "Janvier moche", had already begun this exploration. As part of his studies, Maxime created a project on the theme of silence.

After covering demonstrations against pension reforms, he questioned the lack of voice of the protesters. This reflection led him to take an interest in newspaper printing centers, a topic with little media coverage. After interviewing Cédric Caubère, departmental secretary of the CGT of Haute-Garonne, he discovered the Escalquens printing center, which became the heart of his project.

During two evenings spent in this factory, Maxime immersed himself in the daily life of the employees. He learned that, although the closure is not immediate, the steady decline in printing foreshadows an inevitable end. Touched by this reality, he decided to give a voice to these workers, who are often forgotten in media narratives.

With a bold approach to editing, he collaborated with his team, encouraging everyone to express their creativity while serving the film's guiding idea: the silent closure of a printing center.

"Dernière tribune" will be presented at the upcoming Bandol festival, marking an important step in the career of this promising young director. Finally, Maxime is working on a feature film project, hinting at a future rich in cinematographic creations.
