Two internships dedicated to security professions supervised by the gendarmerie

Hosted within the mobile gendarmerie of the caserne Delort in Hyères then at the institution Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc in Brignoles, these internships allowed several young students to immerse themselves in the gendarmerie culture, an essential foundation for their future careers in the security field. Close-order drill, raising of the colors, and respect to the flag, these structuring highlights transmit discipline and cohesion to the trainees. "Through this educational initiative, launched over a two-week period, the Réserve Jeunesse service illustrates its commitment to passing on values and expertise to young people in training, a progressive skill development for young people committed to a career path in security professions," adds adjudant Moulin.

IMMERSION IN THE HEART OF THE GENDARMERIE Thus, the first internship took place within the mobile gendarmerie, caserne Delort, hosting students from the lycée de Costebelle. "This immersion allowed the trainees to concretely discover operational missions, the organization, and the specific requirements of the various gendarmerie professions. Supervised by the Réserve Jeunesse service of the Var, the trainees grasped the realities of the field, professional rigor, and the importance of cohesion within the security forces," says Nicolas Moulin, adjudant in charge of recruitment at the gendarmerie group.

Following this sequence, a second professional internship took place at the institution Saint-Jean-d'Arc in Brignoles, with role-playing situations, the presentation of various units (canine, intervention, in charge of road traffic management, and the exercise of judicial and scientific police, etc.). "These two internships in a professional environment illustrate the desire of the Réserve Jeunesse service of the Var to offer, in connection with the instructors, a coherent and structuring path, promoting ACCULTURATION APPROACH." The adjudant to the head of the Réserve Jeunesse service and departmental coordinator for recruitment adds: "Indeed, acculturation to the gendarmerie professions is a major challenge.

Beyond simple professional discovery, these internships are part of this acculturation approach.
