La Garde celebrates success and the values of sport
La Garde proudly celebrated its athletes during an evening dedicated to sporting excellence.
An eagerly awaited event that honored those who fly the colors of the municipality high, across all disciplines. Behind every medal lie hours of training, passion, and perseverance. And the results achieved in 2025 bear witness to the sporting dynamism of La Garde. The municipality's athletes won one European title, six European podiums, thirteen champion of France titles, and fifteen national podiums. In addition to this are four Coupes de France, as well as two notable promotions in volleyball, with the women's team in Nationale 3 and the men's team in Nationale 2. At the regional and departmental levels, the harvest is just as impressive: 56 regional titles, 52 regional podiums, and 67 departmental titles. In total, 220 athletes were rewarded, illustrating the vitality and diversity of sport in La Garde. A moment of recognition and conviviality, reflecting a city that places sport, its values, and its talents at the heart of its identity, as highlighted by Hélène Arnaud-Bill, the mayor: "What pride to spotlight those who fly the colors of La Garde high! An evening dedicated to success, self-transcendence, and the values of sport." She praised the collective commitment that makes these successes possible and thanked the Office des Sports, coaches, clubs, volunteers, and families who support these exceptional journeys.
