Organized in the heart of the Jardin de Baudouvin under a welcome winter sun, this intimate gathering attracted many visitors who came to discover or rediscover these emblematic fruits of the Mediterranean basin. The Jardin Remarquable was transformed, for a day, into a showcase dedicated to citrus fruits, their history, and their multiple varieties. Children and adults alike enjoyed an educational program combining discovery and conviviality. Thus, the show featured the exhibition "Bigaradier, a citrus with a history-filled fragrance", created by the Conservatoire Méditerranéen Partagé. An immersion into the botanical and cultural heritage of this emblematic tree, which was once very common in southern gardens. Families also participated in fun and sensory workshops, led by the site's gardeners. They were able to handle different varieties of citrus fruits and learn more about their characteristics, uses, and cultivation. And a guided tour of the Baudouvin orchard allowed visitors to better understand the history and botanical richness of this site cherished by the Valettois. The highlight of the day was the lecture entitled "Citrus, a family story", hosted by Franck Curk, an agricultural engineer and renowned specialist. Through scientific and historical anecdotes, he shared his passion for these multifaceted fruits.
