Between Time Fracture and Nuclear Warning Cry
Pierre Béloni, a Toulon singer-songwriter, unveils 'Fracture du Temps', a dual musical and cinematographic work.
This manifesto against the nuclear threat blends a three-act musical composition with a powerful short film, in which Paris becomes the symbol of a fictional collapse. With his arranger Aurélien Morris, Pierre Béloni sculpts a sound and visual narrative that is as challenging as it is disturbing. He answers questions from La Gazette du Var.
After releasing two albums, 'Souffrances' and 'C'est la vie', featuring the track 'Toulon de mon enfance', you are releasing a poignant musical and cinematic manifesto against the nuclear threat. Pierre BELONI.
The nuclear escalation chills me. The threatening speeches are no longer rhetorical; they are warnings. 'Fracture du Temps' is an artist's cry, but also and above all a man's cry. Is the song constructed in three acts? PB.
The first act evokes a peaceful, almost naive morning. The second is a brutal rupture, heavy metal style, choppy percussion: the detonation. The third is the aftermath. The adagio of chaos. Saturated guitars, irradiated silence. The world suspended. The film shows Paris in a fictional reality struck by a nuclear missile. PB.
Paris is a symbol. It is not a provocation, but a mirror. Fiction allows us to say what reality refuses. Every shot questions our fragility. This film is a warning, not a gratuitous shock. Cinematographically, did you use artificial intelligence? PB.
But AI refuses to generate visual violence that is too realistic and scripted. So I took back control in post-production with specialized software that I master perfectly and which existed long before AI. The whole project was storyboarded in advance: every shot, every special effect is thought out, orchestrated, and synchronized with the music.
Musically, you worked with Aurélien Morris, your arranger? PB.
Aurélien is a sound craftsman. He understood that this song was a sound narrative. Together, we sculpted the three acts to make them coherent and deeply moving. What message do you wish to convey?
