Julia Peironet-Brémond: "Tax pressure is too high in La Garde"

Already committed to the campaign for many months, the young woman wished to dedicate this highlight to clarifying her project and presenting her team, made up of women and men from all neighborhoods and varied professional backgrounds. A project built around "taking care". A professional nurse, she recalled the guiding thread of her approach: "Taking care of the inhabitants, daily life, and our collective future. This is the meaning of our municipal commitment. This approach feeds into the entire project presented, which is based on proximity, listening, and public responsibility. Clearly stated priorities."

TAX REDUCTION

The candidate clarified her position on municipal finances: "Tax pressure is too high in La Garde. We commit to a downward trend in local taxes over the course of the mandate, within the framework of responsible and transparent management. The stated objective is to gradually bring local taxation closer to the average of the municipalities in the metropolis, while preserving the city's investment capacity. A diverse and locally anchored team." A central moment of the evening, Julia Peironet-Brémond presented the full list "Unis pour La Garde", bringing together candidates from civil society, the non-profit sector, and the public and private sectors: "It is intended to be non-partisan, bringing together diverse sensitivities around a common foundation: the general interest, respect for the inhabitants, and the requirement of transparency in municipal management. A town hall is not a party headquarters. It is the common home of everyone." Finally, the candidate reaffirmed her commitment to municipal management based on probity, financial transparency, and public accountability: "The trust of the inhabitants is precious. It is not proclaimed, it is earned."

THE MAIN AXES OF THE PROJECT:

• Security and public peace, with the creation of a municipal night police force, strengthening human presence on the ground, and modernizing video protection tools; • Risk prevention, particularly against flooding, through a policy of anticipation and reinforced maintenance; • Cleanliness and living environment, with a more responsive organization and fair treatment for all neighborhoods; • Health and solidarity, including the setting up of a municipal mutual insurance fund accessible to everyone, at no cost to the town; • Childhood, youth, and families, with the goal of guaranteeing access to municipal services for all children; • Concrete ecological transition, based on greening, fighting against heat islands, and protecting natural heritage; • Mobility and urban planning, designed at the neighborhood scale, with a focus on consultation and respect for the living environment.
