Stéphane Rambaud: 'Change is no longer a hypothesis, it has become a necessity'

During the traditional New Year wishes and 'galette des rois' ceremony of the 3rd constituency of Var, MP Stéphane Rambaud delivered an offensive speech, drawing up an indictment against government action and setting the course for the municipal elections of March 2026. For the parliamentarian, the past year was a 'year of truth' which saw the mask fall on a breathless macroniste system, unable to govern calmly, unable to protect effectively, and above all unable to listen to the French Peuple. He denounced a 'chronic political instability' made of 'fragile governments, artificial majorities, party apparatus maneuvers'.

PATCHED-UP BUDGETS

Stéphane Rambaud castigated a Parlement 'too often paralyzed' and the repeated use of Article 49.3 to pass budgets 'cobbled together in an emergency'. A situation which, according to him, has a direct impact on the daily lives of the French: 'persistent inflation, rising insecurity, public services under tension, exhausted hospitals and caregivers'.

The MP particularly targeted the adoption of the Projet de Loi de Financement de la Sécurité Sociale (PLFSS) in December, a symbol of a 'budgetary waste that has become systemic'. He accused socialist MPs, notably Olivier Faure and Boris Vallaud, of 'parliamentary blackmail' to ensure the survival of the Gouvernement. He also scratched Laurent Wauquiez, criticizing a 'double-talk policy that no longer fools anyone'. Beyond national politics, Stéphane Rambaud recalled his commitment to local issues. He notably mentioned his intervention with the Gouvernement concerning 'the erosion threatening the western tombolo of the presqu'île de Giens and the route du Sel'. Faced with this problem, he assures that he defends 'a sustainable solution, based on the implementation of an underwater reef to protect this exceptional site'. He insisted on the need for this project to be 'authorized and quickly implemented'. The MP also thanked his assistants, Catherine and Nathalie, for their work in the constituency.

FIGHT AGAINST DELINQUENCY

The elected official clearly placed the year 2026 under the sign of the municipal elections. Announcing that 600 list leaders have already been invested in France under the banner of the Rassemblement national and the UDR, he defined a clear line for the candidates: 'make the fight against delinquency and insecurity an absolute priority, refuse any subsidy to associations favoring mass immigration, defend local and high-quality public services, fight against waste [...] and not increase tax rates'. He then lent his support to the candidates of his constituency: Nicolas Salsou for La Garde, Florian Diliberto for Carqueiranne, Jean-Michel Eynard-Tomatis for Hyères, Manon Plautin for La Londe-les-Maures and Bernard Derro for La Crau. Concluding his speech, Stéphane Rambaud wished to honor several local figures by presenting them with a national commemorative medal from the Assemblée. 'Change is no longer a hypothesis, it has become a necessity,' he hammered in conclusion. 'With the Rassemblement national and the UDR, the French finally have the means to transform their daily lives and make things move'.
