A Borne Musicale Mélo, a breath of joy and music
EHPAD Le Pardigaou now has a Borne Musicale Mélo, an innovative device donated by the Blouses Roses in collaboration with the Lions Club.
This initiative aims to enrich the lives of residents by offering them fun and interactive activities. Thus, each week, a team of volunteers from the Blouses Roses visits the EHPAD to host quizzes and other activities. To enhance the residents' experience, they donated this music station, which offers around 5,000 songs, interactive games, karaoke, gym classes, and even fill-in-the-blank songs.
These features allow the coordinator to offer moments of relaxation and pleasure to the residents. The Lions Club of La Cadière d'Azur contributed to the acquisition of this station by making a donation of €2,500. The rest of the funding was secured thanks to the efforts of volunteers who dedicate themselves throughout the year by wrapping toys at Smyths Toys.
This activity allows them to raise funds to finance equipment such as the Borne Mélo or shows and animal mediation programs in several establishments.
Monique Herrmann, president of the Blouses Roses of the Comité de Toulon, expressed her satisfaction: "We are 92 volunteers at the Comité de Toulon and there are 92 committees throughout France. However, we always need new volunteers to continue our mission. We are looking for partners and funds to support our actions, which are essential to the well-being of the people we support."
Indeed, the Blouses Roses, as well as the Blousons Roses, work with hospitalized children and elderly people in EHPADs. Their role is to listen, comfort, and distract patients, bringing a little joy to a sometimes difficult daily life.
The Borne Musicale Mélo will improve the quality of life of residents by stimulating their cognition and senses through music. Equipped with a touch screen and speakers, it offers a multitude of varied content, ranging from songs to musical games, videos, and slideshows. By creating a friendly environment, it helps revive the memories and emotions of residents, thus contributing to their well-being and sociability.
It represents a valuable tool to enrich the experience of residents in EHPADs, offering them moments of sharing and pleasure through music.
