An unexpected rebirth for the Souvenir Français section

An event all the more significant given that this section very nearly disappeared, and with it, undoubtedly, the entire committee. 'After the deaths of Guy Vadon, president of the section and committee, and the passing of many long-standing members, the section was left weakened. Lacking successors, it was slowly but surely heading towards extinction, leaving the threat of lasting silence hanging over local memory,' says Éric Dubosc, president of the farlédoise section of the Souvenir Français.

CHALLENGE MET He adds: 'In February 2022, a small, passionate team nevertheless decided to take up the challenge: to breathe new life into this flickering flame. Supported by an attentive and caring municipality, this revival gradually took root. The joint efforts of volunteers and elected officials made it possible to get the association moving again and to attract new members.'

Today, the results speak for themselves. In three years, membership has jumped from 6 members in early 2022 to 95 at the end of 2025, an exceptional growth that testifies to the renewed energy and commitment.
