Two cheques for Téléthon and the fight against cancer
Recently, the Euréka library hosted a double presentation of cheques, showing the solidarity and commitment of the local community.

This event, held as part of Téléthon, brought together many local actors, businesses, associations and schools, all united to support essential causes. The first cheque presentation was made for the benefit of AFM Téléthon (Association française contre les myopathies). The Town, alongside businesses and associations, collected an impressive amount of €11,655.70. This cheque was presented to Jean-Philippe Collavet, sector representative for AFM Téléthon, who expressed his gratitude on behalf of the association for this crucial support.
PINK OCTOBER AND BLUE NOVEMBER

The second cheque presentation involved the profits collected during the "Pink October" and "Blue November" solidarity walks, organized by the Leï Bouscarles association and the Sports department, as well as by Leï Rigaous and the same department. This amount of €1,919 will go to the association "P'tite Parenthèse - Une pause pour un nouvel élan", which works to raise awareness of breast cancer screening, men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, and to support medical research. Christine Salvano Derrien, secretary of the association, received the cheque with emotion and gratitude. On February 24, this ceremony took place in the presence of Yves Palmieri, the mayor, and elected officials of the Municipal Council, showing the Town's commitment to causes that affect many families. These initiatives recall the importance of solidarity and awareness in the face of health challenges.
