The seventh art in the spotlight with the Six N’étoiles
In March, the establishment, located in Six-Fours-les-Plages, organized a major short film competition 2026.
Organized in collaboration with the festival "Femmes ! Festival du Cinéma TPM", this event was aimed at all image enthusiasts, whether they were high school students, university students, amateurs, or young directors wishing to make their voices heard.
COMMITTED THEME
For this 2026 edition, the organizers chose a strong and inspiring common thread: "Elles au premier plan". This theme invited participants to spotlight women through their lenses. The subject allowed for great freedom of artistic interpretation. It was about exploring life paths, commitments, personal or collective stories, and placing the female figure at the center of the narrative. Videographers were thus encouraged to show creativity in illustrating this societal subject, bringing their unique perspective and own sensitivity. The competition was open to a wide audience, ranging from schools to independent creators. The culmination of this competition took the form of an exceptional evening on March 26. This special screening was part of the national framework of the Fête du court-métrage, an annual event celebrating the creativity and diversity of the short film format. It was on this occasion that the selected works were presented to the public on the big screen of the Six N’étoiles, offering directors valuable visibility in professional conditions. To promote the work of the participants, three distinctions were awarded at the end of the screening. The "Prix du Public" allowed spectators to vote for their favorite. The "Prix des Lycéens" was awarded by a jury composed of students, promoting image education and the commitment of younger generations. Finally, the "Prix du Festival Femmes" was presented by representatives of the partner festival. At stake for the winners was the screening of their film at the Six N’étoiles cinema or during the Festival Femmes, as well as cinema tickets. This initiative represents a true springboard for local talent, offering them a platform for expression and recognition at the heart of local cultural life.
