PROXIMITY A few days after presenting its roadmap, the municipal team detailed the priorities of its action for the first hundred days of the mandate. Announced last April 16, this strategy is built around three major pillars: reinforcing security, developing proximity with residents, and increasing the territory's attractiveness. Thus, the Municipalité will continue to reinforce the police municipale, a policy initiated in 2020.

The goal is to reach a staff of 200 officers by the end of the mandate, thanks to the hiring of ten new police officers each year. Likewise, a community police force will be gradually introduced in the neighborhoods of Pont du Las and Saint-Jean-du-Var.

In terms of prevention, the city plans to create a "conseil de rappel à l'ordre", a scheme aimed at intervening with first-time offenders to prevent reoffending. The second axis of the program focuses on consultation and improving the daily lives of the Toulonnais. Road renovations will be planned taking into account the priorities of the comités d'intérêt local (CIL).

A consultation on the organization of markets will begin on the cours Lafayette, before extending to the markets of Pont du Las and Mourillon. Furthermore, the health center projects in Claret and Pont du Las continue to progress.

To strengthen civic ties, the "Toulon et Vous" initiative will be launched to encourage citizen participation. Schools will benefit from the creation of "cool rooms" and the installation of ceiling fans in 58 classrooms, complementing the already air-conditioned dormitories. A Conseil Municipal des Enfants et des Collégiens will also be created.

And, on the cultural front, the Jazz à Toulon festival will be held in several neighborhoods. Finally, a "cani plage" experiment will be conducted this summer at the Tour Royale to allow dog owners to enjoy a dedicated space.

Several major projects are planned to modernize the city. The stade Mayol will be equipped with a hybrid pitch this summer. Studies are underway for the redevelopment of the Mayol Pipady site, the construction of the future judicial court complex, the creation of the social and cultural center of La Beaucaire, and the development of the jardin Verlaque in Saint-Musse.

And, developments are planned on the boulevard de Strasbourg, including ground signage to make cyclists safer and the study of new lanes. Parking will become free for healthcare professionals.

PROJECTS In parallel, the city confirms the continuation of several projects already launched (redevelopment of the water sports center of the fourth cove of Mourillon, greening of schoolyards and gymnasiums, completion of the Brusquet school group and the Jean Aicard school, construction of the Casa Italia sports complex, future Trucy media library in Saint-Jean-du-Var, and the trialing of the "Dimanche en roue libre" initiative).
