The 'Virtuoses sous les étoiles' festival unveils its 2026 lineup
The 'Virtuoses sous les étoiles' festival returns to Le Castellet from June 14 to July 20 for a 4th edition featuring renowned artists.
Organized by the Prélude et Crescendo association, the 'Virtuoses sous les étoiles' festival has established itself in four years as an essential summer event for music lovers. For its fourth edition, which will run from June 14 to July 20, the event promises exceptional moments in the intimate and heritage setting of the Sainte-Anne chapel, in the heart of the village of Le Castellet. Supported by the Municipalité and private partners, this cultural event brings together a loyal audience from across the region and beyond, drawn by the artistic excellence and the unique atmosphere of the venue.
A RICH AND CONTRASTED PROGRAM
The festival opens on June 14 at 9 p.m. with a masterful work: Mozart's Requiem, presented in a contemporary adaptation for string quartet by Peter Lichtenthal. This opening evening brings together the 'les Virtuoses' quartet, composed of Christophe Ladrette (violin), Yves Desmons (violin), Charlotte Lapeyre (viola) and Jean- Eric Thirault (cello), founder of the festival. The program continues on July 12 with an evening entirely dedicated to Mozart, highlighting his concertos for violin, clarinet and piano, performed by soloists Philip Bride, Alain Geng and Olivier Lechardeur, accompanied by the 'orchestre des Virtuoses'. On July 16, the public will enjoy the piano quintets of Schumann and Dvorák, major works of the romantic repertoire. July 17 will be dedicated to a recital by the famous violinist Patrice Fontanarosa, accompanied on the piano by Stéphanie Fontanarosa. Finally, the festival closes on July 20 with a 'Carte blanche à Régis Pasquier'. The illustrious violinist, accompanied by the 'orchestre des Virtuoses', explores a flamboyant program featuring works by Vivaldi, Paganini, Haëndel, Sarasate and Saint-Saëns.
