PLEASE NOTE... The summer music scene is getting ready to welcome an iconic figure of the new French song scene. Jérémy Frérot will perform for an exceptional free concert on Wednesday, July 8, at 9:30 p.m., on place de la République.

An event that is part of the artist's return after a two-year break dedicated to reflection and creation. Known for his sincere and moving music, the artist has established a singular style, the result of a personal quest for balance. His musical universe, which he describes as a "sand kid", is a space where melancholy and subtle self-derision meet.

His creative process, free from all artifice, explores utopias and ideas in the making.

Wednesday, July 8. EXPECTED RETURN At a time when music production is often dominated by software, Jérémy Frérot stands out as part of this new scene of French artists who brilliantly combine electronic sounds and orchestrations, deliberately distanced from the airwaves and stages to take time for reflection, make important life choices, and let his inspiration guide his writing.

The La Garde audience will therefore have the privilege of discovering or rediscovering this highly sensitive artist, for a moment of sharing and emotion under the summer stars. • more stripped-back. The use of organic sounds gives his performances a warmth and authenticity that provide the delightful feeling of attending a live concert, even in a studio, a choice that appeals to an increasingly wide audience.

After experiencing six years of dazzling success as part of the star duo Frero Delavega, Jérémy Frérot took flight in 2017 to launch a solo career. A successful gamble that allowed him to establish himself lastingly in the French musical landscape. His first album, "Matriochka", released in 2018, quickly found its audience, followed by "Meilleure vie" in 2021.

These two gold-certified records testify to the consistency of his success.

A committed artist, he addresses sensitive themes dear to him in his songs, such as ecology and respect for the ocean. A passion that is by no means a pose for someone who has chosen to live by the Atlantic Ocean, a constant source of inspiration for his pen.
