For the summer season, Cavalaire-sur-Mer has chosen to place entertainment at the heart of the town, with a program close to the public and shopkeepers. The ambition is to transform the city center and the port into open-air stages, promoting conviviality. Shows and concerts are setting up on the quays and public squares.

Headliners

Two major artists from the French scene are expected for free concerts on Esplanade Sainte-Estelle. Hélène Ségara will perform on July 23, while Julie Zenatti, accompanied by the collective "Bande à Part" and "Chœur du Sud", will be present on August 12 as part of the regional tour "Ça c’est le Sud".

Among the other highlights, a major light drone show will illuminate the sky over Plage de Pardigon on August 9. Organized by the Département, this event is part of the commemorations of the Débarquement de Provence.

The traditional celebrations of August 15 are maintained, with fireworks set off in the bay and dance evenings on the seafront.

New additions of the summer

Two new additions mark this summer. "Les Lundis de la Danse" offer free introductory sessions open to all (salsa, rock, zumba, hip-hop) in various locations.

In parallel, "Les Escales Musicales" present a traveling program to liven up terraces and neighborhoods with concerts in various styles, from jazz to pop, via soul and funk.

On August 13, DJ Rox R offers a festive set centered on the great hits of the 2000s, from R’n’B to reggaeton.

And also: activities, markets and sport

Beyond these major events, the summer is punctuated by numerous activities. "Les Vendredis Famille !" offer evenings of giant wooden games or outdoor escape games. Tribute concerts to great names in music (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Hallyday, Amy Winehouse) are also planned.

Lovers of local products will be able to stroll through the night craft markets every Wednesday and Sunday, while the "Journée Rose de Provence" on July 22 honors Var winegrowers.

Finally, for sports enthusiasts, two editions of the "Défi de la Baie", a swimming race, are organized on July 22 and August 19, with courses of 800m and 1,600m (registration on www.sportips.fr).
