La Compagnie Créole in free concert for its 50-year career
For its 50-year career, La Compagnie Créole is offering a major free concert on August 12 in La Garde.
The summer season promises to be particularly festive in La Garde. On Wednesday, August 12, the place de la République will vibrate from 9:30 p.m. to the sunny rhythms of La Compagnie Créole.
This exceptional and free event is part of the group's anniversary tour, entitled "Le bal continue", which celebrates a half-century of success and sharing with the public.
A half-century of success
Founded in 1975, La Compagnie Créole established its unique style, mixing Caribbean influences and popular melodies. From its first album "Ba Moin ti bo" in 1976, the group laid the foundations of a prolific career.
The turning point took place in 1982 with the album "Blogodo", which would be certified gold and propel the artists to the top of the charts.
From then on, the hits followed one after another and became classics of French song: "Vive le Douanier Rousseau!", "C'est bon pour le moral", "Le Bal masqué", "Ça fait rire les oiseaux" or even "Ma première biguine-partie". These tracks, synonymous with celebration, constitute the soundtrack of many memories for millions of French people.
