Since taking office last August, the new commander of the Hyères gendarmerie company has been going out to meet the elected officials of his district.

A new commander for the Hyères company

The gendarmerie company of Hyères-les-Palmiers has changed command. Lieutenant-Colonel Jordane Boursereau officially took office this summer, succeeding Commander Gaëlle Rouault, who has been called to other responsibilities.

Previously stationed at the Guadeloupe GIGN branch, Jordane Boursereau has therefore started a tour of the municipalities in his sector to meet local elected officials.

Initial contact in Bormes-les-Mimosas

It was in this context that he was recently welcomed in Bormes-les-Mimosas by the town's mayor, François Arizzi.

This first working meeting took place in the presence of Major Sébastien Di Marino, who is the acting commander of the Bormes les Mimosas - Le Lavandou brigade, and Olivier Masson, head of the Municipal Police.

Defining a common roadmap

The exchange made it possible to address in a concrete manner the specific safety issues and challenges of the territory. The municipal priorities, clearly identified during this meeting, will feed into and guide the new commander's roadmap for the coming months.

This initial contact is part of a broader approach of dialogue with all stakeholders in the area. Indeed, the tour aims to consolidate and strengthen the already close collaboration between the national gendarmerie, the municipalities, and the municipal police forces of the sector.

This cooperation is considered an essential lever to guarantee public safety and tranquility throughout the district of the Hyères-les-Palmiers company.
