The partnership with the Mission Locale inspires vocations among young people
The Var gendarmerie and the Mission Locale of Toulon draw a positive balance of their collaboration for recruiting young people.

The final pre-summer information surgery of the Groupement de gendarmerie du Var, held at the Mission Locale of Toulon, confirmed the success of a local partnership that has become an essential event for local young people seeking career guidance.
This event provided an opportunity to exchange with many candidates interested in careers within the institution.
FRUITFUL PARTNERSHIP
For two years, this collaboration between the Point Info Communication et Recrutement of the gendarmerie and the Mission Locale has proven its worth. It offers a local framework to present the diversity of professions and access pathways to the gendarmerie.
Whether looking to join the active gendarmerie, enlist in the operational reserve, or discover programs specifically for youth, candidates were able to get precise answers regarding career paths, recruitment requirements, and career opportunities.
Adjudant Nicolas Moulin, departmental recruitment coordinator and deputy head of the Service Réserve Jeunesse of Var, welcomes this dynamic: "Much more than a simple information meeting, this synergy between the Mission Locale of Toulon and the Point INFOS COM is a success that has now existed for two years, and I thank Stéphane Gourlot for this beautiful synergy."
The success of these monthly meetings is based on a proactive "outreach" strategy, by going where young people are. Promoted by the communication service of the Mission Locale, these surgeries allow for establishing contact and breaking down apprehensions related to commitment.
This field presence facilitates personalized exchanges, removes potential barriers, and helps detect new talents throughout the year. By creating an environment of trust, the gendarmerie makes its professions more accessible and attractive to a diverse audience.
SUPPORT
"The support goes far beyond a presentation of careers. Candidates who wish to do so benefit from individualized follow-up. This support extends from defining their professional project to preparing for the various stages of recruitment. The teams invest their time to help young people prepare for the written exams, selection interviews, and fitness tests, thereby giving them all the tools to succeed. The final surgery, before the summer break, illustrated the strength of this field partnership, which is deemed effective, fruitful, and promising, and contributes to the professional integration of the youth of the Var," concludes, with satisfaction, Nicolas Moulin.
The surgeries will resume in September to continue this collaboration and keep inspiring new vocations.
