Schoolchildren trained in life-saving first aid techniques
The City, along with the CCFF and Prévention MAIF, trained CM2 students in major risk management.

It is a civic initiative as much as an educational one that took place on October 16. Under the aegis of the Municipalité and the police municipale, CM2 pupils from the municipality's three schools took part in an awareness-raising morning dedicated to major risks.
Training tomorrow's citizens
In a context where climatic and technological hazards are intensifying, the ambition is to train tomorrow's citizens from an early age by imparting the essential knowledge and reflexes to ensure their safety and that of those around them.
This preventive approach, deemed fundamental by local elected officials, aims to develop a culture of risk among the population. For the Municipalité, informing and preparing young people constitutes the best investment for a more resilient future. This is a message carried with conviction by Isabelle Lenoir, municipal councillor delegated to prevention, health, and establishments open to the public (ERP).
"Faced with the hazards that threaten our territory, information is our best weapon. This morning allowed the children to master emergency actions and acquire the right reflexes. By understanding the vulnerabilities of their environment, they become actors in their own safety and that of their loved ones."
By embedding this knowledge at an age when curiosity is keen, the municipality hopes that these young people will become effective messengers within their own families, thus spreading good practices more widely.
A concrete and fun educational approach
For this awareness process to be effective, the municipality relied on a practical and interactive approach, far from theoretical speeches. Two field partners were mobilized to lead concrete workshops and leave a lasting impression.

Volunteers from the Comité Communal Feu de Forêt (CCFF), an essential link in monitoring and first intervention in forested areas, shared their expertise on fire risk. They presented their equipment and detailed their crucial protective role. Much to their delight, the children were able to handle a fire hose, a symbolic gesture that permanently anchors the learning experience.
For its part, the Prévention MAIF association deployed an interactive method based on the Document d’Information Communal sur les Risques Majeurs (DICRIM) of Le Pradet. This official document, which lists local vulnerabilities and safety instructions, served as the foundation for the workshop.
The session concluded with a large board game, during which the schoolchildren tested their new knowledge through a thematic quiz.
