Les Shop by Creart, a designer boutique

A few weeks ago, one of the designers was carefully painting his sign on the shop front, on Avenue du Char Verdun, in the heart of the historic centre.

He was thus putting the finishing touch to a long-term project, carried out in recent months, to transform a former video game shop into a bright space designed to showcase creative work.

A beautiful adventure led by a collective – Creart compagnie – determined to offer a welcoming place both to artists and craftspeople and to visitors.

Handmade in the spotlight

Because Les Shop by Creart is not just a pretty shop with whitewashed walls that smell of the South and the joy of living. It is above all a rigorous selection of passionate people who work with pottery, painting, macrame, and jewellery. In short, so many ways to brighten up the daily life of buyers.

In a standardised world, giving pride of place to atypical imaginations and handmade items represents both an economic opportunity (sharing the rent of the shop and taking turns to run it) and an interesting alternative for people wishing to surround themselves with objects that tell a story, that make you travel, that quite simply do you good!

A successful inauguration

It is in this dynamic that the team inaugurated this new address on 5 June, with a warm welcome, singers, and a buffet prepared with love by local shopkeepers.

Hence the satisfaction of Julien Argento, the mayor, whose presence marked this highlight and this new stage in the commercial and craft life of the town centre: "It is a great initiative that does good!"

“This type of business brings good energy, a positive momentum, and the team has really done a great job to get here,” said Maryse, a loyal supporter from day one, who had already left with a raffia mirror and a pearl bracelet.
