Mystery and logic at the library

In July, the municipal library transformed into an attraction hub for young readers, offering two events that brilliantly combined reflection, imagination, and artistic discovery. These events allowed children to enjoy fun and enriching experiences.

In the shoes of a detective

The first event, on July 9, plunged participants into the captivating world of police investigations. Led by the association "Les Yeux Dans Les Jeux", a life-sized game invited children to step into the shoes of detectives.

For nearly two hours, they used their observation skills and deductive reasoning to complete their mission. Their investigation led them to gather clues, question suspects to separate truth from falsehood, and reconstruct the timeline of events.

Thanks to their insight and teamwork, the young investigators managed to identify the culprit and understand their motive. The event, praised by many enthusiastic reviews, proved the appeal of an interactive and immersive format.

Hero creation in the spotlight

Then, on July 16, the atmosphere was highly creative with the visit of the renowned illustrator James Christ. This meeting was part of "Partir en Livre", the major national youth reading event organized every summer by the Centre national du livre.

The artist, known for his work on successful comic books such as Les Géants, Strom, and Totem, shared his passion and expertise with an attentive audience. After an introduction to the fundamental techniques of illustration, the budding artists collaborated to bring a "Géant" to life under the expert's guidance.

Afterward, everyone let their imagination run wild to create their own unique and personal hero. The workshop concluded with an exciting discussion during which James Christ answered the children's many questions about his profession, his inspirations, and his career path, undoubtedly stimulating future vocations.
