A new chapter opens for the Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. On October 12, regional councilors gathered in an extraordinary plenary assembly in Marseille elected François de Canson as president of the institution.

A succession with 83 votes

With 83 votes out of 122 cast, he succeeds Renaud Muselier, who joined the Sénat. The handover of power, marked by the presentation of the red and gold scarf, formalized his arrival at the head of the institution.

Former vice-president in charge of economic development, François de Canson is described as a man of the field and of business.
