Mayor Guillaume DECARD gathered nearly 80 shopkeepers for an evening of exchange on actions taken and to come for local commerce. The municipality of Puget-sur-Argens has placed the revitalization of its commercial fabric at the heart of a vast consultation. This Monday, June 8, 2026, the mayor, Guillaume DECARD, invited local economic players, and more particularly those from the town center, to a working meeting. Nearly 80 shopkeepers attended to discuss the future of their activity and the development of the municipality.

The objective of this meeting was twofold: to present a detailed assessment of the actions undertaken by the town and to open a direct dialogue to gather expectations and concerns from the field. The evening made it possible to cover all projects, whether already completed, in progress, or planned for the coming months.

A major municipal mobilization

To demonstrate the importance given to this matter, the mayor was surrounded by a large part of his team. Many elected officials of the majority, whose delegations are directly linked to economic life and living environment, were present to answer questions. Among them, Éliane TOSI, first deputy, Élodie GRAVOUIL, deputy for the revitalization of the town center, commerce, and events, but also the deputies in charge of security (Jean-Louis ORSO), urban planning (Fabrice CURTI), major works (Thomas CANNAROZZO), culture (Lucie RONCHIERI), as well as the delegate councilors for green spaces and cleanliness.

The presence of the Director General of Services and a representative of the Police Municipale also highlighted the desire to provide concrete and cross-functional responses to the issues raised, whether regulatory, logistical, or security-related.

A dialogue deemed frank and constructive

Each elected official had the opportunity to detail the initiatives within their competence, thus offering shopkeepers a global and coherent vision of the municipal strategy. This approach was followed by a time of open exchange, allowing participants to ask their questions directly to the mayor and his deputies.

According to the municipality, this dialogue took place in a frank and constructive climate, and was unanimously appreciated. At the end of the meeting, the Ville de Puget-sur-Argens reaffirmed its desire to make shopkeepers privileged partners, considering that the vitality of local commerce constitutes an essential pillar for the attractiveness and dynamism of the entire Pugétois territory.
