During the last Fête du Livre, the MP for Var, Stéphane Rambaud, reaffirmed the essential role of books, praised a major event, and paid tribute to the Municipality.

Books in the face of digital technology

The latest edition of the Fête du Livre, an essential cultural event that attracts thousands of enthusiasts every year, was an opportunity for the MP for Var to recall his attachment to reading and the defense of literary heritage.

He stressed the importance of this event for the dynamism of the region and the promotion of culture.

In a context marked by digital acceleration and the proliferation of ephemeral content, Stéphane Rambaud insisted on the lasting value of books. He presented the Fête du Livre not only as a meeting place for authors, publishers, and readers, but also as a privileged moment to reaffirm the central place of the written word in the transmission of knowledge.

In an era marked by immediacy and the multiplication of digital content, books remain a formidable tool for intellectual empowerment and reflection

Culture accessible to everyone

During his discussions with writers, professionals in the sector, and the residents of his constituency, the elected official noted the deep attachment of the French people to reading, language, and the richness of the national cultural heritage.

The MP also recalled "his conviction that culture must be accessible to everyone, far from any form of elitism." He considers his support for major local events as a natural step for a representative of the region.

Culture must not be reserved for a few; it must be accessible to everyone, respecting the pluralism of ideas and freedom of expression

Tribute to the municipality

The parliamentarian praised the commitment of the stakeholders who make this event possible. He expressed his gratitude to Véronique Bernardini, Mayor of Hyères, for her decisive action in support of culture and her backing of the event.

He also thanked the municipal teams for their contribution to the success of this festival. In the same spirit, he paid tribute to the work of the organizers, the many volunteers, and all the participants, whose involvement allows Hyères to "shine far beyond the department."

The MP added by reiterating his personal commitment to defending initiatives that promote reading, which he describes as a "precious asset."

Supporting the initiatives that promote it is a collective responsibility that I will continue to defend with conviction
