As part of the national "Pink October" campaign, the Communauté Professionnelle Territoriale de Santé (CPTS) Pays des Maures Littoral organized an information and discussion evening in Le Lavandou.

This event aimed to inform the public about the importance of prevention and early detection of this disease, which remains the most common cancer among women in France.

An evening in two parts

The initiative took place at the Le Grand Bleu cinema. The film chosen to introduce the topic was the comedy-drama "De plus belle", directed by Anne-Gaëlle Daval and starring actress Florence Foresti, who plays a woman in remission from breast cancer.

Following the screening, a debate was moderated by local healthcare professionals. The public had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss with a midwife, a nurse, and a gynecologist.

The goal of this meeting was to provide practical answers to participants' questions on essential topics: why is screening crucial? How does it actually take place? How is the national screening program organized in France?

A prevention mission

This action was part of the mission of the CPTS Pays des Maures Littoral, which works to improve access to prevention and care for the residents of its territory.

The organizers specified that this evening was intended as a moment of information and sharing, and not as a medical or paramedical consultation. No carte Vitale or financial contribution will be requested.

The CPTS reminded everyone that even individuals not directly affected can play a relay role by sharing this information with the women around them, encouraging them to take care of their health.
