A Strategic Investment for Proximity

The Ville is strengthening the resources of its municipal police with two hybrid vehicles. It has officialized the acquisition of this equipment, which is part of a dual approach to modernizing the vehicle fleet and reinforcing the intervention capabilities of the officers.

This investment marks a new step in the security strategy of the community.

Better security coverage

By replacing part of its existing fleet, the Ville is equipping its police officers with more efficient resources that are better adapted to the requirements of proximity policing. The objective is to guarantee a visible and reactive presence from urban centers to more peripheral areas.

For the municipal majority, led by the mayor Hélène Arnaud Bill, this decision responds to a public service challenge: improving the working conditions of the officers while ensuring better security coverage for the residents.

Strengthening the resources of our Police municipale means investing in security and quality of life in La Garde. With these vehicles, we support the daily action of a proximity police force, present and reactive in all neighborhoods

The choice of hybrid engines reflects the Municipality's desire to integrate the renewal of its equipment into an ecological transition logic. These vehicles make it possible to reconcile operational efficiency and reduction of the carbon footprint.

An ongoing modernization

This acquisition is only the first phase of a broader equipment modernization program. The Ville confirmed that a new stage was already planned, concerning the individual technological tools of the officers.

It is planned to proceed with the replacement and modernization of the body-worn cameras used by the municipal police during the term, in order to improve the traceability of interventions and the protection of both officers and citizens.
