The Ville is committing to a family support policy by launching a cycle of actions dedicated to parenting. This initiative aims to provide tools and spaces for dialogue to help parents navigate contemporary educational, social, and societal complexities.

The program was presented on May 29 at the Médiathèque Eurêka by Virginie Coporandy-Viallon, deputy mayor in charge of education, youth, childhood, and parenting.

STRUCTURING PROGRAM

Designed to become an essential event in the territory, this program is structured around several key moments. Monthly meetings will be organized to allow parents to exchange and share their experiences in a caring environment. Autumn will be marked by the “Quinzaine des familles” (from October 10 to 25), offering a series of workshops, conferences, and activities.

Thus, the Municipalité will demonstrate its commitment during the Journée nationale des aidants, thereby recognizing the crucial role of those who support a loved one. Finally, a specific event will be dedicated to the omnipresent theme of “Parents et écrans”, a major challenge for modern family balance.

DAILY LIFE OF FAMILIES

Far from theoretical approaches, the program has been developed to address the concrete concerns of families. The topics covered will span a wide spectrum of daily life: managing children's sleep, the challenges of adolescence, the specificities of single parenthood, the mental health of parents and young people, dietary issues, or even the need for parental respite. This pragmatic approach aims to provide directly applicable answers and solutions.

To guarantee the relevance and effectiveness of its actions, the Ville has opted for a cross-cutting approach. Several municipal services, including culture, ecological transition, social action, prevention, and citizen participation, are mobilized.

The goal is to create a dynamic by involving families themselves, professionals in the sector, the associative network, and institutional partners.

The Municipalité thus wishes to foster the emergence of spaces for support, knowledge transmission, and social innovation, making parenting support a pillar of its public policy.
