A free shuttle to make accessing the market easier
The Ville and the CCAS are launching a free shuttle on Mondays to help seniors from La Coupiane reach the market.
La Ville, in partnership with the Centre Communal d’Action Sociale (CCAS), has set up a transport service intended for its seniors. Since June 15, a free shuttle has been running between the La Coupiane district and the town center.
This initiative aims to enhance the mobility of seniors, facilitate their access to the traditional weekly market, and allow them to fully enjoy this commercial and social gathering.
Social connection
More than just a simple transport solution, this shuttle is designed to fight isolation and preserve the independence of people over 60. By offering a simple, cost-free way to travel, the Municipalité encourages seniors to maintain an active social life.
Going to the market thus becomes an opportunity to shop with local merchants, meet other residents, and enjoy the town center atmosphere, without the parking hassles.
Schedules and terms
The service is free and does not require any prior registration. The shuttle operates every Monday morning, on market days.
The starting point is at the church of La Coupiane, with a first trip at 8:30 a.m. Shuttles then run every thirty minutes until 11 a.m. The town center stop is located at the Lavoir, right next to the stalls.
Please note
The shuttle is primarily reserved for people aged 60 and over, who can be alone or accompanied. Minors under 18 must be under the responsibility of a senior during the trip.
For safety reasons, children under 10 and under 1.50 meters tall cannot be transported. Additionally, the vehicle is not equipped to accommodate wheelchair users. Anyone affected is invited to contact the CCAS for other adapted mobility solutions.
