Over 80,000 spectators expected this summer!
Since 2017, the Région has promoted the values of a peaceful, positive tourism, respectful of residents and its exceptional environment.
With the Comité Régional de Tourisme (CRT), the region promotes the territory, its art de vivre and its sense of hospitality, which is its DNA. François de Canson, president of the CRT, answers questions from La Gazette du Var. Why this tour, 'Ça c'est le Sud'?
François de CANSON. For several years now, we had been looking for a way and a place for exchanges and sharing to strengthen the ties between residents and our visitors. Last year, the idea was born to create a summer tour that travels from town to village, meeting all kinds of audiences.
And, we put together a show that we presented in 15 towns in the region. The success was considerable! Nearly 40,000 people!
In the audience, there were residents of the region of course, but also holidaymakers from other French regions, from Europe and even, sometimes, from the other side of the world.
What is the 'Ça c'est le Sud' tour? FDC. It is a free show of nearly three hours, for all audiences.
We welcome on stage, Flora, the young Varoise from The Voice 2024 and our star Joyce Jonathan who sings with the Chœur du Sud, the largest vocal ensemble in Europe. The evening is hosted, once again this year, by Jean-Philippe Doux. It is a magnificent line-up and 100% Sud since the artists all live here.
This year, between July 9 and August 24, we are going to 30 towns in our six departments. We started in Saint-Tropez and we end in Toulon. We hope to welcome over 80,000 spectators.
Is it more than a show? FDC. It is a state of mind. Here, we love to celebrate. Le Sud is a sense of welcome, an art de vivre. Le Sud is 3 global brands with Provence, Alpes, Côte d'Azur that make people dream. Le Sud is extraordinary landscapes and a unique heritage.
