The CRT will develop better synergies
Business tourism in Région Sud is reinvented with the merger by absorption of Linkeus by the Comité Régional de Tourisme (CRT), officialized on July 9.

Against a backdrop of financial constraints on public spending, the Comité Régional de Tourisme (CRT) and Linkeus have finalized their merger. This decision aims to create new synergies between the development of leisure tourism and business tourism, while achieving economies of scale. ACTION PLAN The merger makes it possible to preserve all the action plans offered to tourism professionals, which represent €3 billion in economic benefits in Région Sud.
With the 400 members of the CRT's ClubPro and the 250 members of Linkeus, the action plans remain dedicated to the specific needs of each partner. The teams continue to work on behalf of their members, but with shared resources that optimize expenses, to be even more efficient without losing the agility of their governance.

On this occasion, François de Canson, president of the Comité Régional de Tourisme, declared: 'This merger was finalized without the liquidation of Linkeus, making it possible to preserve the actions undertaken, to maintain 100% of the salaried staff, and to protect an additional budget within the CRT dedicated exclusively to MICE. An autonomous MICE college has also been integrated into the governance of the CRT, guaranteeing clear representation and voting rights in decision-making bodies. This setup allows us to capitalize on the innovative initiatives supported by Linkeus, such as the European program BEFuture or the ISO 20121 process, and to envision sustainable, competitive business tourism anchored in the territories.'
The merger was recorded on July 9 during the board of directors and extraordinary general meetings of the CRT and Linkeus. • THE WEIGHT OF BUSINESS TOURISM (MICE) IN RÉGION SUD: • More than €3 billion in annual economic benefits in Région Sud. • Nearly 15% of off-season tourist arrivals, stimulating our economy beyond the summer months.
