With Véronique Bernardini, a breath of fresh air
Candidate for the 2026 municipal elections in Hyères, Véronique Bernardini focuses on proximity and renewal.

Originally from Hyères, aged 58, she has a rich and diverse background. A graduate of the École Française des Attachés de Presse (EFAP), she worked in the private sector as a senior executive before taking early retirement in August. "My political commitment began in 2001 as a municipal councillor in the majority of Léopold Ritondale, then I was deputy mayor to Jean-Pierre Giran from 2014 to 2023. After leaving the majority, I joined the opposition in September 2023. At the same time, I have been a metropolitan councillor since 2014 and a departmental councillor since 2015, chairing the sports and youth commission. My political commitment is anchored on the right, having been a member of the UMP then Les Républicains for more than 20 years," explains the candidate.
PROXIMITY AND RENEWAL

The priorities of her campaign are built around a new, more shared and respectful governance. She emphasizes: "Being elected means, above all, listening, understanding needs, and taking concrete action for one's municipality. Living in your town means knowing its pace, its landmarks, and its habits, as close as possible to the daily lives of its inhabitants." She adds: "I want to restore a sense of the collective and of listening within the municipality. To achieve this, I have launched initiatives, such as a questionnaire shared on social media, and I have planned thematic meetings on various topics (economy, safety, health, and environment)." "Proximity with the residents is very important to me. I want to strengthen the dialogue between the Municipality and the citizens, in order to restore an atmosphere of listening, trust, and serenity within our community. It is in this spirit of proximity and renewal that I want to build the future of our town, with and for its inhabitants," asserts Véronique Bernardini once again. For example, she pledges to place citizens back at the center of municipal initiatives, focusing on safety, health, and living environment. In short, the local elected official carries a clear message: to build a town where residents feel good, listened to, and respected. Her commitments and her desire for transparency in public affairs are values she will champion throughout her campaign.
